Advertising

My Experience
I managed the creation and implementation of multiple advertisement projects aimed to bolster the company's hiring goals. These advertisements ranged from full page pieces in global publications such as Fortune to online campaigns shared across social media channels to collateral shared at recruitment fairs with over 5,000 attendees. I created ad copy and guided the design strategy, working cross-functionality with marketing and external teams.

Advertisements I managed have been featured in major global publications including Fortune, India's The Economic Times, Ireland's The Irish Times, Great Place to Work's® website, and across  Cadence's social channels with a collective audience of over 355k followers.
My Approach
Advertising lives at the crossroads of creativity and strategy. It requires thoughtful planning and target-setting informed by analytics, research, and big-picture thinking, and leverages uninhibited creativity to achieve those goals. I enjoy how multi-faceted an advertising project can be from ideation to completion. As a self-proclaimed jack-of-all-trades, advertising allows me to engage with many unique parts of a project that lead to creating a memorable ad that pique audience interest, makes them think, and influence action.

Branding and Design

My Experience
As a member of the Culture team at Cadence I was the employer brand subject matter expert. I led the creative design strategy and production process for over 300 webpages, posters, banners, online graphics, videos and other collateral that were circulated externally to candidates, social media followers, partnership organizations, as well as used internally to over 9,000 employees worldwide. I created and revamped several unique webpages that elevated the user experience.

I oversaw many facets of the employer brand to ensure that  voice, image, and content were consistent and supported the overarching goal of expanding candidate interest and exceeded hiring targets. I organized and hosted several employer brand workshops to train managers and leaders how to champion our brand across their teams and programs.
My Approach
Branding  comes down to one thing - reputation. Just like with the reputations of people in our lives, a company or product's brand is built over time, and earned through consistency and trust. Intentionality and authenticity as the foundation of any brand is key to earning trust and creating lifelong customers.

With each product rollout, social media post, advertisement, partnership, investment, and marketing campaign, a company either strengthens or works against its brand. I enjoy using brand to guide design to offer customers the best possible experience consistent with what they've come to expect from their favorite organizations.

Events

My Experience
In my role as program manager for Cadence's College Hires and Internship Programs I created opportunities to build camaraderie amongst the intern and employee population by hosting fun and engaging events. I've organized over 50+ events ranging in size from large, all-company intern showcases with over 500+ employees in attendance to medium size off-sites for our intern and new college graduate population to small roundtables with leaders and executives. I managed and oversaw all aspects of the event planning and execution process. I delivered on audience size, budget, schedules, and other factors to create the most memorable version of each event. I created invites and strategic promotion campaigns to generate audience buzz. I oversaw set-up and break-down logistics, as well as entertainment and catering components. As a result of my depth of experience, I have scaled signature events so they could be replicated year-round at the company's global sites.
My Approach
I find events to be some of the most exciting projects I've managed. They require thoughtful planning, imagination, attention to detail, and adaptability. I thrive on creatively up-leveling events by incorporating innovative session formats, clever use of technology, and striking branding. I shape these events to ensure that speakers, entertainment, catering, design, and other factors contribute to a unique experience.

Each event is special and requires level-headedness to work through the complexities of executing an event with many moving pieces. Despite the challenges, the most rewarding part of event planning and execution is when you look around and see people enjoying themselves, knowing that you created that moment and environment for that to happen.

Social Media

My Experience
I was the project lead for Cadence's Human Resources content across our social media channels with a collective audience of over 355k followers. I worked with various Human Resources teams to source content opportunities and inform our strategy highlighting employee programs, company culture, employment opportunities, and more. I partnered with Marketing to create engaging copy and direct the production of eye-catching media including graphics, posters, and videos to include in our posts. As a result, Human Resources and employee program content outperformed every other category of content posted to Cadence social media channels.
My Approach
To say that I love social media is an understatement. I am passionate about the ways social media can guide our culture, capture our attention, and connect us to limitless people, products, and brands. At its best, social media can facilitate important discourse, influence opinions, and entertain all at the same time.

Having a strong presence on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and other media are crucial in our modern world. As social media is constantly changing, I keep constant tabs on the latest trends, challenges, and updates that capture users' attention in order to stay a part of the ever-growing conversation happening on these channels.

Video Production

My Experience
I was the creative director behind several social media clips and several short videos that captured Cadence employee experiences, and promoted signature programs including the Diversity in Technology Scholarship Programs. I owned video production from inception to premiere and was responsible for sourcing and preparing talent, organizing a cross-functional filming schedule and strategy, and guiding the editing process to create a captivating video narrative.

The finished videos were shared internally on Cadence's internal employee homepage and externally to a collective audience of over 355k followers across social media channels. Clips from these videos were also featured in company-wide all-hands meetings in front of the C-suite, as well as over 9,000+ employees.
My Approach
I  wanted to be a movie director as a child. I was captivated by the stories shown on the big screen. As I got older, I began to understand and appreciate the exciting complexities that come with creating movies and videos. Video project management marries creativity, strategic planning, multi-tasking, and collaboration to utilize a medium that is uniquely engaging.

As a communication major, I studied film and media in classes that allowed me to gain a better understanding of the technical components such as lighting, staging, framing, and sound. Equally important is an understanding for narrative - pacing, dialogue/quotes, transitions, and more. I am training in Adobe Premiere Pro to relearn the finer skills of video editing and hope to utilize my growing knowledge in my work.

Writing

My Experience
I have written over 500 internal and external pieces for a global high-tech organization of over 9,000 employees. These pieces ranged from internal executive announcements, memos, invitations, briefs, and reports to external blogs, advertisement copy, and C-suite panel scripts.

My education background is in journalism and I have a passion for creative writing. As a section editor of The Santa Clara, I wrote dozens of articles and edited or contributed to just as many. In my free time, I like to read and I enjoy writing short stories and other long-form tales imagining worlds yet realized.

My writing has appeared on Yahoo!, NewsDirect, The Santa Clara, and Monterey County Weekly, amongst others.
My Approach
Writing is the foundation of my career and my passions. I believe that words are the most powerful force in the universe. The words we choose, the stories we tell, and the speeches we give, all hold incredible power. They can influence our feelings and inspire us to persevere through the greatest challenges. They can even lead us to take action and shape the shape the mark we leave on the world.

I bring this level of admiration to the craft to every piece that I write - from a small audience newsletter to a major announcement that will impact thousands. I strive to capture the right voice, tell the write story, and send the right message in every piece I write.
